Rotten Data is a single release from Lustfeind.
The EP collects remastered tracks originally recorded between 1999 and 2014 on hacked household electronics. Those sources included old PDAs, Commodore 64 units, Atari home computers, 286 XT PCs and other digital scrap. The sound is deliberately harsh, marked by aliasing and a disregard for common conventions.
Nothing here was made on modern studio equipment. The machines that shaped these pieces were already obsolete when the files were first saved.
